Explosion RnD done in Houdini 16.5. Costum combustion model and microsolvers built in opencl language. It was simulated using the CPU. Simulation time 5 hours, total voxel size last frame 17.8 billions for 116GB of RAM for the main explosion. The trails were 50 additional simulations, taking from 1 to 30 minutes per sim. Rendered in Mantra with custom our own shader, average rendering time around 2 hours per frame with a memory footprint peak of 15GB.
